# Cyber Operations: Russia-Ukraine War Meetup

In this Meetup, we discussed the current state of cybersecurity operations related to the Russia-Ukraine War and potential ramifications and implications for organizations here in the U.S. / West. Patrik Maldre is an Evolve Academy alum, lead instructor, and currently serves as Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Lead at a Fortune 500 company. He still serves on a voluntary basis in the Estonian Defense League. During this Meetup, Patrik discussed:

- The political context for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
- Cyber operations in Russia’s national strategy
- Prior cyber operations against the U.S. / West.
